  • When ITV drama, #TheBay, was filmed outside Janet Hampson’s home, the idea for a business was born which could benefit the people of Morecambe. She set up Bay Casting, a new business supplying background artists – or extras – for television and film, and she wants people from the Morecambe area, especially the West End, to have their share of the limelight.

  • Fun times ahead for Morecambe’s Regent Park. The Friends of Regent Park have been working in partnership with Lancaster City Council and West End Million to secure funds to deliver a masterplan for the park.

  • A Morecambe school is planning a Movies Under The Stars event this summer. West End Primary School hope that the event will attract the wider community and help to enhance the reputation of the school. The event has been made possible thanks to a £500 grant from West End Million’s new Community Chest fund and will buy a giant inflatable screen, projector and blower.

  • An important service for the lonely and isolated which requires a facelift is being supported by West End Million.
